Painted US Army Air Force pilot figure

1/12 Scale Pilot Figures
US Army Air Force
European Theatre of Operations
World War 2

This figure represents a "typical" US Army Air Force World War 2 fighter pilot as he would have appeared fighting over the skies of Europe during 1944. Fighter aircraft used during this period included the P-47 Thunderbolt, P-51 Mustang and the P-38 Lightning.

This figure is approximately 1 1/2" wide and weighs less than 1/2 oz. It is intentionally longer than usually required for standard "head and shoulders" cockpits so as to offer you the option of either cutting off the excess body mass of the figure or increase the depth of the aircraft's cockpit. The weight of the figure may be further reduced by hollowing out the body area with a Dremel or similar tool.

Details of How To Prepare Your Figure For Painting and Painting Guides are provided to assist you in getting the most out of your figure.
